A Little About Me

A multipotentialite Renaissance

About Sacha

Born and raised in Fort McMurray, Alberta, I grew up as a creative. Playing the violin since I was three years old and partaking in school musicals was a bit like a fish out of water in the oilsands.

Being young, I thought I had to choose something ‘pragmatic’ after high school and pursued my Bachelor of Commerce in Finance at the University of Alberta. I later went on to study environmental restoration at the University of Victoria in hopes of integrating my business acumen to help our natural world.

My late teens to early 30s were a journey of self discovery. As a result, I’ve worn many hats over the years – violin instructor, financial analyst, policy analyst, environmental administrator, and purchaser.

Being a square peg trying to fit into a round hole took a deep toll on me and I suffered through chronic insomnia for nearly half a decade. The glaring physical sign that something was wrong was too much to ignore.

So in 2016, I made an effort to return to my true self, and in that, found myself yearning to go back to expressive pursuits. I took up writing in 2016 as a side gig, which funded a year-long sabbatical where I saw 17 countries (the picture to the left is at Naiharn Beach in Thailand).

In 2017, I landed in Calgary where I was hired by marketing firms all over the world to help their clients. I also wrote my debut book, Cure Chronic Insomnia, which details how I overcame insomnia even with the overactive mind that ADHD brings.

I am now focusing my efforts on the type of writing that speaks to the heart and resonates with the inner humanity found within us all. The stuff that tells a story and transcends time.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Ryan for 10 years this year and have two beautiful boys, Ivan and Miles. In my spare time, you’ll find me running, weight lifting, reading, and being outside with my kids.
